	To counteract the problem of ammo depletion during longer engagements against IS forces, Clan Coyote scientists began developing a new second-line `Mech that would rely more on energy weapons. Jumpjets and a powerful array of weapons compensate for a speed slower than most `Mechs of the same weight class. The Canis carries 4 ER large lasers, with two Ultra-10 autocannons rounding up the weapons complement. Currently, Clan Coyote is the only Clan to field the Canis is any significant numbers.
